I’ve been having all kinds of fun doing shows on the internet. Multiple times a week, even. That seems to be how it works best here, and that works for me - the gigs have been keeping me sane in the depths of coronavirus social distancing. And it turns out I’m pretty good at it!
If you’re on Twitch, chuck me a follow - I’m on there the most, because there’s always people to hang out with. You can watch me there even if you don’t have a profile, but you may as well sign up, there’s a lot of fun to find on there. And my big weekend Crap Music Rave Party streams have been megaaaaaaaa. This week we’re off to the UK for an evening party (their time - it’s gonna be early hours of sunday, my time). These are becoming something VERY special that I think is going to be part of my career, like, forever now.
Entry for these shows is free - I have upcoming ticketed streams when we relaunch NORMAL PLACE, which is happening VERY VERY SOON. But these ones will aaaaallways beeee pay-what-you-want, I think. ‘Cos they’re different things - it’s not quite a show when you do a livestream, it’s something else.. A ticketed stream feels like a live TV special… definitely very different, more deliberate and even more special and stuff. But wow, I’ve been having a great time, and they’ve brought in a bit of much needed food money during The ‘Rona.
